Selena Gomez Debuts "The Heart Wants What It Wants" Music Video—Is the Song About Justin Bieber?

Selena Gomez is ready to wear her heart on her
sleeve. "I have been waiting to share this with all
of you," the singer tweeted Thursday. "The video
for my new single 'The Heart Wants What It
Wants.'"
The black-and-white video opens with a voice
recording of Gomez, 22, talking about being
wronged by a man, presumably her on-and-off
boyfriend Justin Bieber , 20. Fighting back tears
and revealing little details, she says, "When I was
on stage and I was thinking of...I felt like I
know...I know him, though, and I know his heart
and I know what he wouldn't do to hurt me. But I
didn't realize that feeling so confident and feeling
so great about myself and then [to have] it just
be completely shattered by one thing, by
something so stupid. But then you make me feel
crazy, you make me feel like it's my fault. I was in
pain."
"You got me sippin' on somethin' / I can't
compare to nothin' / I've ever known / I'm
hopin' / That after this fever I'll survive / I know
I'm acting a bit crazy / Strung out, a little bit
hazy / Hand over heart, I'm prayin' / That I'm
gonna make it out alive," Gomez sings. "The bed's

bad boy. "The Heart Wants What It Wants,"
indeed.
Before she released the video, which will appear
on her greatest hits album, Gomez posted a photo
a recording session on Instagram. "As I have a
last listen, I thought a lot about my year. I
thought a lot about my voice. And after a year of
holding on. I think it's time to start sharing.

Gomez will discuss the song on Ryan Seacrest 's
KIIS-FM radio show on Thursday.

How three students created Nigeria's online jobs giant

Three students had time on their hands in the
summer of 2009 when their university lecturers in
Nigeria went on strike.
Instead of slacking off, Ayodeji Adewunmi,
Olalekan Olude and Opeyemi Awoyemi started an
online job search company.
Five years later their start-up, Jobberman, has got
a multi-million dollar valuation, employs 125
people, and is still growing.
While Nigeria is Africa's largest economy it still
has massive unemployment problems, in
particular among young people who are also
more likely to be connected to the internet.
Jobberman has become the single largest job
placement website in sub-Saharan Africa, helping
over 35,000 people find jobs within the last two
years.
The number of companies using the site to find
employees has grown from about 40 in 2009 to
some 35,000 today. The company employs 125 people in Nigeria
and beyond
Carrying between 500 and 1,000 jobs on the site
every day, the founders estimate that there are
about 1,000 active users searching for a job at
any given time.
"The growth has been tremendous, it's at rocket
speed. One of the biggest challenges has been to
keep up with the volume of work," says Olalekan.
Overcoming fraud fears
However, there have been other challenges along
the way.
"In the beginning a lot of people did not trust an
internet-based business because at that time a
lot of people were using the internet to
perpetuate fraud here in Nigeria," he says.
But as other online businesses thrived and
became trusted, so Jobberman thrived.
Companies would dip their toe in the water with
one or two postings and then when they trusted
the site they would come back.
Olalekan Olude says he is proud because each
job someone finds on his site helps support a
household
In 2012 some of Jobberman's clients wanted to
use the site to find workers in Ghana and so the
company took its first work outside Nigeria.
Two years later it says it is now the biggest
online job site in Ghana as well as Nigeria.
The company is now expanding its reach to
Kenya with a partner called Brighter Monday. The
partnership also gives it a footprint in Uganda
and Tanzania.
'They found me'. Some people find a job through the site without
actually applying for one.
Amarachi Apakama uploaded her details and was
approached by a company to take the position of
executive assistant at a mobile phone content
company.
"That really changed my life," she says. "It was a
morale booster. It helped my confidence - the fact
that my interests and my experience put together
such a good fit that I didn't have to apply for the
job."
Multiplier effect
"It is incredibly fulfilling helping people to become
economically empowered by getting job
placements via Jobberman," founder Ayodeji
Adewunmi says.
"One company recruited more than 80% of their
employees through the site. Another time, a
director was able to hire a former colleague in the
United States to come and work for his company
here in Lagos. All amazing stories."
Olalekan Olude adds: "If you put food on the table
by virtue of getting a job for someone, that
person also fends for a mother, or a brother and
you create a multiplier effect within that
household.
"And anytime we get to hear of such stories, we
are very, very happy. It motivates us, it makes us
look forward into the future and try and get more
people to get more jobs."

Man City can win Champions League - Pellegrini

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini on Tuesday voiced belief that his side can win the Champions League this season, despite their perilous current position in Group E.

City have collected only two points from their opening three games and trail group leaders Bayern Munich by seven points ahead of Wednesday's home game with CSKA Moscow.

With second-place Roma also two points better off, City no longer have any margin for error, but Pellegrini believes that getting out of the group should be the English champions' minimum ambition.

"Of course our target is always to try to win the Champions League. We must put in our mind that we are able to do it, that we have a good squad," the Chilean told Tuesday's pre-game press conference in Manchester.

"Maybe there are five or six squads better than our squad or at the same level as our squad that also want to do it, but with a winning mentality and an ambitious mind, you must always think you can do it.

"I think we have time to prove it."

After playing Russian champions CSKA, City host German heavyweights Bayern on November 25 before visiting Roma for a thorny final fixture on December 10.

But although failure to beat CSKA will take City's destiny out of their hands, Pellegrini does not believe that it is a game his side have to win at any cost.

"I think it is a very important game, but it is not a 'death' game because until mathematics can't fix (it), you can continue," he said.

"We must win this game because we have just two points and we have three games to play and it is very important to have more points. But we will consider it not a final game, but a very, very important game."

With Bayern expected to win the group, Pellegrini is prepared for City's bid to reach the last 16 to go down to the wire.

"It will depend what the other teams do and it is impossible to be sure, but I think this group will be decided in the last game in Italy against Roma," he said.

"We will see what happens. We are going to try to win our two games at home and see what the other teams do, but I am sure this will be decided in the last game."

City will be without David Silva (knee), Aleksandar Kolarov (calf) and Frank Lampard (thigh) against CSKA, but Eliaquim Mangala (hip) has been passed fit after missing Sunday's 1-0 win over Manchester United.

Van Gaal says beaten United getting closer

- Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal feels his side are getting closer to the Premier League's leading teams despite having made their worst start to a season since 1986.

After drawing 1-1 with league leaders Chelsea the previous weekend, United lost 1-0 at derby rivals Manchester City on Sunday, with Sergio Aguero scoring the winning goal after United defender Chris Smalling was sent off.

United also lost Argentine centre-back Marcos Rojo to a dislocated shoulder, but although the result left the 20-time champions 13 points adrift of Chelsea, Van Gaal believes they are making progress.

"In spite of all the injuries, we were very close with Chelsea last week and also this week we were very close, but not close enough, and we have to make steps still to improve," he said.

Aguero struck in the 63rd minute after Smalling was shown two yellow cards in the first half for attempting to block a clearance by Joe Hart and then sliding in on James Milner, but United finished the match strongly.

"Of course as a coach or as a manager you can be proud of the last 20 minutes because they showed unbelievable willpower and we could have scored at that moment," said Van Gaal, who described Smalling's dismissal as "stupid".

"I have seen the willpower of this team that I said to the players is fantastic, but we have still only 13 points out of 10 games and that is not so much."

Van Gaal's assessment of United's display was echoed by his captain Wayne Rooney, who played as a deep-lying number 10 on his return to the team after a three-match suspension.

"We have to focus on ourselves. You can see every week we are getting better," the England striker told Sky Sports.

"We are not far away from being back up there and being a very good side. We came here for a result and leave with no points, so we are disappointed."

City's victory brought them four consecutive league successes over United for the first time since 1970 and ended a damaging run of three matches without a win in all competitions.

The English champions face a key Champions League fixture at home to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday and City captain Vincent Kompany said the victory over United would allow his team to approach the game with confidence.

"The derby win is massive. For a minute, the league doesn't matter," said the Belgium centre-back.

"It is a boost for us and we will do our job again in the Champions League on Wednesday."

City manager Manuel Pellegrini said that French centre-back Eliaquim Mangala should be fit to face CSKA Moscow after sitting out Sunday's game with a thigh problem, but Aleksandar Kolarov is unlikely to play after injuring his calf in the warm-up.

City had three strong penalty appeals waved away before Aguero turned in Gael Clichy's cut-back to claim his 10th goal of the season, but Pellegrini refused to criticise match official Michael Oliver, saying: "It is very difficult to be a referee."

United finished the game with midfielder Michael Carrick and 19-year-old Paddy McNair at centre-back, while an injury to Rafael da Silva meant that winger Antonio Valencia started the game at right-back.

With Phil Jones and Jonny Evans currently sidelined, Van Gaal has a defensive headache ahead of United's next game at home to Crystal Palace, but he believes there is sufficient depth in his squad to compensate.

"We have a lot of injuries in defence, as you know, but you have also seen how Michael Carrick has come in and Paddy McNair has come in," said the Dutchman.

"We have still 11 players to play and also very good players, so I don't cry for that. It is sometimes difficult to select the best team, but I think I can manage that."

Kaduna state police officer accused of trying to steal arms from the armoury Late DSP Nanbol Audu has committed suicide.

his death ranging from suicide to being
gunned down in his cell.
One of the victim’s relative had called
the news portal and insisted that he
could not have shot himself as he had
been handcuffed since his arrest.
The relative said: “I will supply you

he explained.
