preview city vs united

Date, time and coverage: Sunday 2
November, 13:30 GMT. The match is live on
Sky Sports . You can also follow it via
ManUtd.com’s live blog, or MUTV’s radio
service.
Scene setter: Few matches in world football
generate as much hype as the Manchester
derby, a fixture that has taken on a whole
new meaning in recent years. History is on
United’s side, while City have the current
Barclays Premier League title in their trophy
room. After a fascinating start to the season,
there’s much more at stake than bragging
rights in this 168th meeting.
Form guide: The Reds head into this
weekend’s blockbuster clash on the back of a
1-1 draw with leaders Chelsea and, although
home draws have rarely been celebrated with
as much euphoria, fans were right to
embrace Robin van Persie’s late equaliser
following a gritty team performance at Old
Trafford. City, meanwhile, were beaten 2-1 by
West Ham in their last Premier League outing
and were also dumped out of the Capital One
Cup by Newcastle on Wednesday. But the
Blues will be encouraged by last season’s
two victories over David Moyes’ United.
Team news: Wayne Rooney is available after
serving the three-match ban that followed his
red card against West Ham and Michael
Carrick could start after sitting on the bench
against Chelsea and West Brom. Phil Jones
is a doubt with shin splints but Jonny Evans,
Antonio Valencia and Radamel Falcao could
all feature. City are without David Silva
(knee) and Frank Lampard (thigh),
while Samir Nasri is doubtful.
Betting: Official betting partners bwin have
priced City as favourites at odds of 1.85,
with United at 4.00 and the draw at 3.80. If you fancy an entertaining
game, you can back exactly five goals to be
scored at 7.25. Visit their website for more
offers.
In the dugout: Manuel Pellegrini has refused
to comment on Sunday’s match thus far,
mainly because his side had the League Cup
tie against Newcastle in midweek. However,
the Chilean will undoubtedly have been
planning his team all week, given that he is
under pressure for the first time in his
managerial reign at the Etihad following a
couple of disappointing results in the
Champions League, a competition City’s
owners are determined to win for the first
time. Pellegrini admitted after the Newcastle
defeat that he is "worried" by his side's form.
Quote/unquote: "We know what we need to
do, so we just need to focus on that during
this week and come out firing on Sunday.
The whole world watches the derby - it's one
of the biggest occasions in football after the
World Cup and Champions League finals. I'm
sure everyone will be watching and we're
looking forward to it." - Luke Shaw
Did you know? As well as competing for
three points, Louis van Gaal and Pellegrini are
jostling for FIFA’s Coach of the Year award
after both were named among 10 nominees
earlier this week. Angel Di Maria and Yaya
Toure are also up for the Ballon d’Or award.
Match officials: Michael Oliver will referee
Sunday's game, with Stephen Child and
Stuart Burt acting as his assistants. Kevin
Friend will be on fourth official duties.

‘I Go To Beer Parlours Every Friday’ – Newly Elect Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose Reveals

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state says
he goes to the beer parlour every Friday
to meet with the commoners in his
state. Fayose said this today in Abuja
while explaining to newsmen the
concept of the ‘stomach infrastructure’
he initiated in his state, saying it
doesn’t only mean sharing of food and
money to the people..
“I go to beer parlour on Friday to stay
with the common men there.
Governance is not church; it is about
diverse characters and you must
relate with them as such. Christmas is
coming. Why do people go out of their
ways to be shopping or doing other
things if it is not just to make people
merry? So, I’m grooming chicken,
buying rice, yams, plantain, and the
rest of them. I am sure if I give it to
families during the festive period,
they will be happy. So, stomach
infrastructure is a way of life.” he

Tension At Murtala Mohammed International Airport As Alleged Ebola Victim Lands Nigeria

There was tension and anxiety at the

Leone, but was cured arrived at the

officer, Mrs. T. Mohammed.
The victim identified as Mr. Theophilus
Onnakhinon, who reportedly flew from
Sierra Leone, has a younger brother,
Mr. Chinedu Eroka, who reportedly
escaped from the Sierra Leonean
authorities.

Nigerian Soldiers Working as Boko Haram Spies Arrested

Some Nigerian soldiers, who double as
moles for Boko Haram, giving the sect
vital information about the military’s
strategies and tactics, have been
arrested, new reports confirm.
According to AllAfrica.com, the nation’s
military has arrested those soldiers it
suspected were working as double
agents for Boko Haram.
“It was gathered that the alleged
moles among the soldiers leaked the
information on the deployment of
soldiers from Maimalari Barracks in
April this year to the terrorists,
which led to an ambush and killing
of so many soldiers of the 101
Battalion”
Military commanders are putting the
pieces together and revisiting all the
incidents in which Boko Haram
succeeded because it might have had
intelligence about secret operations.
And according to a site, who spoke to
the site;
“The situation became so bad that
there was mutual suspicion among
fellow commanders, the brigade
headquarters and even the division
headquarters. But at last, the moles
were found out to be some of the
orderlies and aides of commanders”,
the source said.
“What they do is that after operational
briefings and troops take off, these
moles immediately pass on the
information through calls”
While the Nigerian military is still
conducting investigations to flush out
more spies, the ones already caught will
be charged with criminal conspiracy
and possibly other crimes.
Too bad – No wonder the Boko Haram
thing has grown stronger or what do
you think???

WHY THIS GENERATION HAVE THE WRONG IDEA OF LOVE

In this generation more than ever, people struggle to find love.  People are tired of meeting the misrepresented form of love, tired of being hopeful, tired of believing in love in it’s raw existence.

Why is that:

This is because some think love should come easily and be easy to maintain. The truth is, is that true love does come easily, however, it takes work, hard-work.  Love isn’t a smooth ride, but the journey is worth it.  Most of us in this age want real love, but some do not want the work that comes with love itself.  We want great relationships, but are quick to quit during the storm.  We don’t care to put effort into fixing anything that goes wrong in relationships, we simply try to replace a relationship, especially when the problem is us, we are quick to replace partners. It’s obvious we live in a microwave society nowadays – an impatient generation. We also do not know the meaning of hard-work.  We are used to looking for other equations without solving the current problem.  That mentality also affects our love-life.

1 – True love is considered old school:

Lovely gestures are considered “kissing butt”, we let our pride stop us from doing the things necessary.  We don’t like expressing our love because we’re afraid of looking weak.  Both males and females of this generation mistake being rude, sarcastic and emotionless for good qualities.  Our fear of being walked on causes us to operate like robots looking for a real experience, instead of human-beings open to real experiences. Even good morals and values became a thing of the past. Therefore, what use to be right and loving becomes stupidity and opinions

i have an iron shield ;Van Gaal

"Maybe you dnt know that I am always a
controversial person and a lot has written about
that, but I (have) an iron shield," the United
boss said.
"It's been like that since I came to England.
"Everyone can write or speak about me and I
cannot change that.
"It took a long time for me to understand but I
cannot change that.
"I have learned not to react and to believe in
myself, my players and staff. That's important."
Mourinho, who worked under Van Gaal at
Barcelona for three years, employs a different
tactic when it comes to criticism, often taking
his enemies on in public spats.
Just last season he branded Arsene Wenger a
"specialist in failure" for his lack of success at
Arsenal.
Van Gaal refuses to go down the same route as
his former assistant though.
"Every human being reacts, as I have said, in his
own way and you have to ask him why he
reacts like he does, not me," Van Gaal added.
"We hardly speak to each other. Sometimes on
SMS."
Van Gaal, perhaps sensing his words could be
seen as an attack on Mourinho, quickly
reminded the gathered media at his pre-match
press conference that his relationship with
Mourinho is still very strong.
"When we see each other, we feel the warmth
between us and our families, which is nice," Van
Gaal said.
With Mourinho by his side, Van Gaal won two
Primera Division titles and the Copa del Rey
during his first term at Barca.
Mourinho has since forged a hugely successful
career of his own which has yielded an
astounding 20 trophies to date.
The Portuguese often credits a lot of his
success to Van Gaal and his other mentor Sir
Bobby Robson, but the Manchester United
manager thinks the main reason behind
Mourinho's success is the man himself.
''He talks about Louis van Gaal and also Bobby
Robson, and I appreciate that, but you always
do it by yourself,'' Van Gaal said.
"It's good that Jose Mourinho's eyes were very
open when he was my assistant, but you do it
by yourself.''
Mourinho has riled many leading figures in
football, whether it be in Portugal, Italy, Spain
or England.
The 51-year-old has been viewed as a
somewhat arrogant figure ever since he
proclaimed himself the 'Special One' when he
arrived at Chelsea 10 years ago, so it was with
some surprise that Van Gaal chose to describe
Mourinho as ''modest'' on Friday.
''He's such a wonderful coach,'' Van Gaal added.
''And to see that he's been a champion in
different countries is fantastic.
''He is a very modest and emotional human
being, and I like that.
''He's very special but he is very special for me
because I've worked with him and we've
continued our relationship, which in the football
world is not always normal. That's nice.''

League in a while. Credit: PA
Van Gaal has warned Mourinho he will not be
able to walk away with three points on Sunday
without at fight though.
"It is logical that he is further (along) with his
team than I am with Manchester United. But
nevertheless we can win on Sunday," Van Gaal
said.
The Dutchman will need to see an improvement
from his compatriot Robin van Persie if United
are to breach a defence that has only conceded
eight times in the league so far this season.
Van Persie has found the net just twice this
term, but Van Gaal is sure the former Arsenal
striker will rediscover the kind of form that saw
him bag four goals at the World Cup.
When asked whether Van Persie was on the
decline as a footballer, Van Gaal said: "No, he
has showed that at the World Championship
and he is showing it now except for scoring
goals, but it's only a matter of time.
"But with his self-confidence, I expect that he
will score and maybe against Chelsea."

New govt house at Ekiti state a waste of money

N3.3bn New Govt House Is Fayemi’s Show Of Wickedness To Ekiti People - Fayose’s Aide
Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Ayodele Fayose on Information and Social Media, Mr Lere Olayinka has described the new government house built by the immediate past government of Dr Kayode Fayemi as an act of insensitivity to the plight of Ekiti people, many of whom cannot afford to feed once in a day.

Speaking with pressmen in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, Olayinka said no progressive minded Ekiti person would see the out-of-this-world luxury provided with over N3.3bn borrowed fund for Fayemi, his wife and children and will not weep for the State and its people.

The World.
 ENTERTAINMENT : AUGUST 14, 2014
Google is now one of the most powerful,
influential and far-reaching companies this
country (maybe even this planet) has ever
produced. We've already established that the
multi-billion dollar company will be our supreme
overlords , so we might as well learn something
about them. Here are some crazy interesting
facts about the company. Some of this is just
ridiculous... 1.They have a dinosaur! Yup! A dino's
skeleton was found near their building in
Mountain View, so Google has erected a
giant t-rex skeleton and named it "Stan" in its
honor. A powerful name for a powerful

Amodu Shaibu will take charge of the Super Eagles, who face a fight to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, despite a win over Sudan on Wednesday

Stephen Keshi has been sacked as coach of the Nigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation announced today

Amodu Shaibu, who has enjoyed four spells in charge of the Super Eagles, will lead a consortium of local coaches as the new head of the national team to replace Keshi and his assistants Daniel Amokachi and Ike Shorunmu. Shaibu will handle the team’s remaining Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches until a replacement is found.

Keshi’s job had come under intense scrutiny since the start of the qualifiers in September following the 3-2 defeat to Congo at home before picking one point in a draw against South Africa in Cape Town.

A further defeat in Khartoum to Sudan made his tenure look like coming to an inglorious end after a fairy tale year in which he led the Super Eagles to victory at the 2013 Afcon in South Africa.

The title defence in Morocco next year was looking bleak until Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over Sudan in Abuja restored a glimmer of hope, but it was not enough to save his job.

Keshi had also become embroiled in fights over players, with Villareal striker Ikechukwu Uche being accused of wanting to be begged to play for the country. However, the player denied the allegations.

However, the new NFF board was not convinced and has now relieved him of the job, urging him and his assistants to proceed on any training programme of their choice that would be funded by the federation as a form of gratitude to the "national heroes".

Their exit means that former national team coach, Shaibu, who has been a part of the NFF in a technical role, will now return to the position for the next two matches against Congo and South Africa.

Shaibu will be supported by Salisu Yusuf, Gbenga Ogunbote and former goalkeeper Aloysius Agu until a foreign coach is recruited to handle the side.

The team also has a new co-ordinator in former international Garba Lawal, while Toyin Ibitoye is the new media officer and Godfirst Chike takes over as equipment manager.

The statement also announced the hiring of Samson Siasia as the U23 trainer. He returns to the side he led to an Olympic silver medal at the games in Beijing in 2008 and will be assisted by Fatai Amoo.

Keshi, 52, led Nigeria to their third African title last year, and became only the second person to win the trophy as a player and coach. He also took the team to the Round of 16 at the World Cup in Brazil as they equalled their best ever run.

He will be remembered for bringing into limelight several unknown players from the local league who have become heroes of the Nigerian game. However, he was also accused of favouritism by taking largely untested players to the World Cup and ignoring more experienced campaigners.

Eagles victory a relief for Keshi

Former Nigeria goalkeeper Joseph Dosu has
revealed that the Super Eagles 3-1 win against
Sudan on Wednesday evening is a great tonic to
ease the enormous tension on coach Stephen
Keshi.
Going into the game against Mohamed Abdalla‘s
side, the former Mali and Togo handler had face
a barrage of criticisms following his side’s poor
streak in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations
qualifying series where they were able to manag
just a point in three games.
According to the Atlanta 1996 Olympic gold
medalist, the Eagles should focus on winning the
last two games to stand a chance of reaching
next year’s African football showpiece.
"We wanted the victory badly, but then we’re still
behind Congo and South Africa. With this, we
hope to beat Congo away then return home and
defeat South Africa,” Dosu told Goal.
"Let’s see how it goes but the most important
thing now is to win our remaining two games to
stand a chance of qualifying for the 2015 Africa
Cup of Nations in Morocco, but the most
important thing is this victory.
"Lawal did very well in the midfield and Onazi
playing from [right back]. All the same, the
combination between Mikel and Lawal was okay
in the midfield. If the team continues this way,
they might blend together,” he continued.
He however commended the Falcons of Jediane
players for giving the African champions a good
fight.
"I must confess that the Sudanese were more
coordinated than the Super Eagles. They held
onto the ball, passed the ball without stress and
they were able to move freely from the defence t
the middle down to the attack.
Dosu said that the victory will ease the pressure
on Keshi's job even though questions still remain
about the 52-year-old's position.
"For now, I think it will bring the tension down
because everybody will relax a bit and see how
other games go but I think it's good for [Keshi]
he won because if the game had ended in a draw
or defeat, that could have been the end as Eagle
coach.
"As it stands now, the tension would go down
though whether he continues or not remains the
question but I can assure you that he will be
given the benefit of doubt to be in charge and it
is good his team won today," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles chances of qualification
got a big boost as South Africa were held to a
0-0 draw at home by Congo.

Keshi makes changes as Aluko, Lawal, Oshaniwa start against Sudan

The Super Eagles trainer is expected to make
three key changes to the side that lost in
Khartoum when they take on the Falcons of
Jediane this evening in Abuja
Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi is expected to make
changes in the starting line up of the team in
today’s match against Sudan
Goal scooped that the place of Ahmed Musa in
the right wing attack of the team is already take
by Omatsone Aluko of Hall City.
Musa did not take part in Monday’s training
exercise held at the main bowl of the Abuja
National Stadium. He was nursing an injury that
the team doctor said was not a major one.
He has joined recuperating Michael Babatunde o
the bench while Aluko will be starting a match in
Eagles colours for the first time under Keshi.
Another major doubt is Elderson Echiejile who
may not start the match on the left back for the
Eagles due to loss of form. Although Echiejile is
not injured, it is believed that Keshi prefers to
start Juwon Oshaniwa who had an impressive ru
at the World Cup in Brazil.
Oshaniwa has also proved his form during the
training sessions he had with the Eagles since hi
arrival in Abuja.
Raheem Lawal is also a preferred first choice in
the midfield and will be starting ahead of Nosa
Igiebor in today’s cracker against Sudan.
Other players including team captain and
goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, Efe Ambrose,
Godfrey Oboabona, Kenneth Omeruo, Onazi
Ogenyi, Mikel Obi, Emmanuel Emenike and
Gbolahan Salami retained their starting place in
the team for today’s match.

We are in Nigeria to win - Sudan coach Mohamed Abdalla

The Falcons of Jediane's trainer has said his side
is ready to pick all the three points in the home
of the reigning champions in the Africa Cup of
Nations qualifier today
Head coach of Sudan national team, Mohamed
Abdalla has said his team are anxious for a two-
leg win when they face Nigeria in a 2015 Africa
Cup of Nations qualifier in Abuja on Wednesday.
Sudan defeated the African champions 1-0 in
Khartoum on Saturday through Barki Almadina
after losing their first two opening games in the
qualifiers for next year's 16-nation tournament.
Abdalla insisted that the Falcons of Jediane are
desperate for a second victory over Stephen
Keshi's men in a bid to revive their campaign to
reach the finals in Morocco.
He said they will not allow the Super Eagles any
chance of securing a victory in Nigeria.
“We started the campaign on a wrong note losing
3-0 to South Africa, but this was all because of
the impact of coming out of the fasting period fo
Muslims, which meant that the players were still
weak,” Abdalla was quoted by Africanfootball.
“We know what to expect because Nigeria is
bottom of the table and badly need to get a win.
But we shall not give them that room to do what
they want to do,” he concluded.
Sudan will face an uphill task against Nigeria,
who seek redemption in their qualifiers for
Morocco 2015 to defend their title.
Sudan are third with three points, while Nigeria
with a point sit at the base of the Group A table.
South Africa and Congo are first and second wit
seven and six points respectively.
