The much anticipated swearing in of new ministers scheduled for Wednesday may not hold after all, reports Punch. This is because the Senate is yet to officially communicate President Muhammadu Buhari on the list of ministerial nominees screened and confirmed by the red chamber. Although, the Senate had announced the confirmation of 36 nominees as minister-designates, the presidency was yet to receive the list, a pre-condition for allotting portfolios and onward swearing-in of the ministers-designate. The inability of the Senate to communicate President Buhari may further delay the inauguration of his cabinet.
