Fake Naval officers arrested in Enugu..see pics

A fake Naval officer who has been swindling unsuspecting members of the public within Onitsha and its environs as well as Enugu has been arrested by the operatives of the New Haven Division of the Enugu Police Command.


The suspect identified as one Sunday Oka a native of Ezeagu in Isielu LGA of Ebonyi state but resides at Mmakwum obosi in idemili North LGA of Anambra state was nabbed by the operatives on February 26, 2016 when he allegedly dressed with alleged Nigeria Naval T. Shirt and cap and went to the station where he identified himself as a Nigerian Naval officer to solicit for the release of his associates in crime identified as Abea Johnson and Henry Nwankwo.

According to the statement released by the the Command, Johnson and Nwankwo, both from Ezeagu in Isielu local Government Area of Enugu state were nabbed earlier by the operatives on an alleged case of being in possession of Fake currency notes in which suspects last December had gone to a shop at Nanka street New haven to buy things with the fake currency note and through that process get the real currency note as a balance in return.

However, the owner of the shop having observed the situation,raised alarm which attracted the attention of the security operatives.It was gathered that the fake Naval officer Sunday Oka had allegedly gone to the House of Henry Nwakwo where he extorted the sum of thirty four thousand Naira under a guise that he was going to get Henry out from detention and on the same day,had an issue with Henry"s wife one charity Nwankwo over serving him food without meat which was later resolved by people around.

Recovered from suspects are fourty five pieces of alleged Fake currency notes of 1,000 naira denominations. All the suspects are helping the police operatives in their investigations and are pleading for forgiveness.To Sunday Oka who revealed that he is a panel beater and married with four kids,he attributed the situation his facing to act of devil and maintained that he wore the alleged Naval T shirt and Faze Cap to deceive and make the operatives succumb to his request and further revealed that he has not been in any of the forces let alone Navy.
