The Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), Lagos State Council, has raised the alarm, calling the attention of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, and Mr. Solomon Arase, Inspector-General of Police, to a plot by members of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) to cause mayhem at various tricycle parks and routes in the state.
Mr. Tunji Okunola, TOAN’s public relations officer, in a press statement on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, said cultists from Eiye Confraternity and hoodlums, who claimed to be members of RTEAN, have invaded various parks for tricycles, also known as Keke Marwa, in some parts of Lagos.

The TOAN spokesman said the Keke Marwa parks in Amuwo Odofin, Badagry, Alakija, Ajagbandi, Igando, Surulere and Yaba, among other areas, were some of the spots the suspected cultists and hoodlums have taken over in recent weeks.
“A fresh siege was laid on members of the association in Second Rainbow Amuwo, Badagry, on Monday, where property worth millions of naira were damaged and others carted away.
