Russian plane carrying 224 passenger crashes in Egypt (VIDEO)


Egypt has confirmed that a Russian passenger plane has crashed in central Sinai. A senior aviation official says the plane was a charter flight operated by a Russian company and had 224 people on board, including 217 passengers and seven crew members. The plane lost contact with air traffic control shortly after take off from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh en route to St. Petersburg, Russia. Russian media reports that the captain asked to change routes and landed in Cairo soon after the plane took off. watch video here
