Former governor of Akwa Ibom, Godswill Akpabio, was on Friday, arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Senator Akpabio was accompanied to the EFCC headquarters by his lawyer, Ricky Tarfa, at about 5.20 pm. After being interrogated for several hours over his alleged involvement in fraudulent activities during his tenure as governor, Akpabio returned home late at night. See photos below:
